The campaign report

What each channel can track, how link shortening affects it, and how to read bounces.

The campaign report tells you what happened after you sent. What it can show depends on the channel, and on whether link shortening was switched on when you published.

What is tracked, by channel

  • Email: opens and clicks. Clicks on specific links are tracked when the shortener is active.

  • SMS: opens and clicks, and only when the shortener is active.

  • WhatsApp: opens only. This is a WhatsApp limitation, not a Bookboost one.

Link shortening and what you lose without it

Link shortening is controlled on the Review and Publish page, under Advanced Settings. If you turn it off, you lose click tracking for SMS and WhatsApp entirely. Email tracking is unaffected.

Reading bounces

Soft bounces are temporary. Common causes are a full mailbox, a server problem at the recipient's end, a message that is too large, sender restrictions, or spam detection.

Hard bounces are permanent. The usual causes are an invalid recipient address or a strict email security filter. Hard-bounced addresses are excluded from future sends automatically.

Getting help
