You are able to amend a prescription if a entry error is identified.
The process for this scenario is:
1. Press F9 to access the Search Patient details or alternatively view from the Care Home dashboard. Check the dispensing history for a dispense record, if the item which requires amending has a dispense record right click and select cancel item if not move on to step two.
2.Select the prescription history tab, highlight the prescription and select details to view the prescription.
3. To amend the details already entered, select the gold key at the bottom of the screen and select the relevant section you would like to amend (selecting patient entered incorrectly will reset all data and take the prescription back to the beginning of the entry process).
4. If an item has been amended once completed an on-screen prompt will ask you to confirm the change made, check the change is correct and select proceed.
5. Once the change is made click close to shut the prescription screen. From the prescription history tab right click the item which has been amended, select view from RX pool, right click the amended item, re-allocated appropriately and input the quantity you wish to dispense.
6. View the dispensing screen and follow the normal dispensing process.
