Dosage instructions may need to be changed on Atlas eMAR as a result of a request from the prescriber directly to the home or a home visit.
To change the dosage instructions follow this process:
1. Log into the Atlas device and select the view residents icon, then select the resident from the list.
2. Click on the medication bar, then select the appropriate medication from the list. Click on details in the drop-down options and then select edit drug from the options at the top of the page.
3. From here you can make any changes to the dosage wording, by selecting text box removing the old instruction and replacing it with the new, scheduling and times by selecting schedule.
Note: changing the instruction wording will not amend the schedule of the prompt automatically therefore this will need to be changed appropriately to match the new dosage wording.
4. Once you have finished making any changes, select next at the bottom of the page and have the changes witnessed by another user then select save changes to complete.
5. Once the change has been made the device should be synchronised.
