Some particular medications need to be administered on a hourly, weekly or monthly basis, to ensure that these medications show up as due on the Atlas device at the right time they will need to be set up with a specific timetable.
To add a non-daily dosage instruction follow this process:

Select the residents’ name from the list and either select the drug you wish to amend or click the add drug icon at the top of the screen. For new drugs begin entering the name of the medication and a list will appear with a variety of medications you could be trying to enter; select the correct item from the list ensuring that it is the correct strength and form as well as ingredient. Enter the dosage in the relevant field, please ensure that it is an exact match of the dosage given by the GP or Hospital Prescriber.
2. Select the Schedule option, this will come up with a list of options. Select the appropriate timescale for administration, then select the time and quantity. once reviewed then save changes.
3. Once you have completed this screen, select next and pass the Atlas device to a colleague to double check that all the details are correct and to witness the medication.
Depending on the dosage requirement at this point the medication may immediately be showing as due if this is incorrect the "next due date" may need to be amended. For more information on how to adjust the next due date click here: How to adjust a next due date on Atlas eMAR
