It is vital that the information on Atlas eMAR is kept as up to date as possible, with all new changes made as soon as they happen.

A new resident and their medicines must be added quickly to the system so that their medicines can be accounted for on Atlas eMAR. Similarly when a resident is no longer at the care home, it is important to remove their records so that their medicines are not prompted for administration otherwise you will end up with missing entries.

How to add a resident to Atlas eMAR

1. Log into Atlas eMAR, with another nurse at hand to confirm that the information entered is correct and to witness the information your adding.

2. Press the view residents’ icon and select add resident at the top of the screen, next to the back arrow.

It is important to ensure that the information entered is correct and includes as much information as is available. A title, forename, surname and gender must be entered to continue.
