Notes can be added to Atlas eMAR as a way to communicate information about a specific resident, medication, or about the unit in general. These van be added to different pages within Atlas eMAR when they are most appropriate.
It is possible to add a clinical note that will appear every time a user views the resident’s records or a particular medication. This is particularly useful as a way of communicating important information about a resident or about how a medicine should be administered, or for echoing important points from the care plan so that it is seen at every administration.
For example, “Jim often spits out his medicine after a couple of minutes.” “Edith has her medicines on a spoon.” “Dorothy was tearful this morning.” “Cream to be applied to left leg if it becomes inflamed.” “Permission has been given to administer medicine covertly.”
Notes added to the resident list will appear every time a user goes into the list, notes can also be added at a patient or medication level which can be set to automatically display as a pop up or you are given the option to add a note to the logs and these will not display as pop up.
