The Atlas eMAR application allows you to keep up-to-date photographs of each of your residents which will be allocated to their personal record. This is another way that the Atlas eMAR minimise administration errors as the resident picture is displayed when scanning their name label at the beginning of the medication round for each resident.

Please ensure that you have the residents consent, that only one resident is in the photograph and do not take a photograph of anyone while they are sleeping.

To take a residents photo on Atlas eMAR follow this process:

1. Log into the Atlas device. Select the view residents’ icon and select the resident that you wish to take a photo of from the list. Underneath the residents name there is an icon named update photo.

2. This will connect to the camera and allow you to take a photograph of your resident. Ensure that their face is within the circle and in focus. Once you have pressed capture you can either save the image to the residents file, or go back and try again.

3. Once completed the Atlas device should be synchronised.
