Overview

Amenitiz allows you to offer your website and booking engine in multiple languages.
This article explains how to:

  • Activate and manage available languages

  • Translate all website, booking engine, SEO, and menu content

  • Translate rooms, extras, and automated emails

  • Set the default language shown to guests

These features ensure a smoother browsing experience for your international guests.

Before you start:

  • Activating a language does not translate your content automatically.

  • You must add translations manually or request Amenitiz’s translation service.

Amenitiz can translate your entire website for €70 per language (excluding taxes). Contact your Account Manager or Support to request this service.

Activate or deactivate languages

  1. Go to Settings > Languages.

  2. In Available languages, click the three dots next to a language.

  3. Select Activate or Deactivate.

  4. When active, the language will display a green toggle.

Warning:
Translations will not save unless the language is activated first.

Translate your website and booking engine content

Once the language is active:

  1. Go to Settings > Translations.

  2. Select the language using the dropdown menu at the top.

  3. Choose the section you want to translate, such as:

    • Website (page content)

    • Menu (navigation menus)

    • Extras (extras and add-ons)

    • Other content depending on your setup

  4. Enter your translations directly in the fields.

Note:
Translations are saved automatically as you type.
If elements are not translated, visitors will see the default language content.

Translate individual pieces of content

You can also translate content directly within the feature you are editing.

Look for flag icons next to text fields (rooms, extras, sections with multilingual support):

  1. Click the flag of the language you want to translate.

  2. Enter the translation for that specific field.

This is useful for quick updates without navigating through the Translations tab.

Translate automated emails

Automated emails are not translated from the Translations section.

To manage email translations:

  1. Go to Settings > Emails.

  2. Open an email template.

  3. Click the language tabs at the top.

  4. Add the translated version of each email.

This ensures guests receive confirmations, reminders and messages in their preferred language.

Translate SEO fields and page titles

To translate your SEO content:

  1. Go to Website > SEO.

  2. Click the language flag of the language you want to update.

  3. Edit:

    • Page title

    • Meta description

This ensures the correct language appears in search engine results.

Change the default language of your website and booking engine

You can choose which language your website or booking engine displays when the visitor’s browser language is not available.

  1. Go to Settings > Languages.

  2. Scroll to Default language for your website / booking engine.

  3. Select your preferred default language.

  4. Click Change default.

Available languages

You can currently activate:

English, French, Spanish, Italian, German, Chinese, Russian, Portuguese, Dutch, Polish, Catalan, Greek, Croatian.

Troubleshooting / FAQs

Why is translation not saving?

The language must be activated before translating.

Why does some content still appear in the default language?

Content without translations will fall back to the default language.

My guest sees a different language than expected

If the browser language is not available, the system displays the default language.

Can I deactivate a language later?

Yes — go to Settings > Languages and deactivate it.

Why is part of my translated page blank?
