When an application is returned following the relevant Garda Vetting Bureau checks, a disclosure document can be added to the application for review. This document can be attached to the application either without a passphrase or with encryption for data security if it contains sensitive information.
To review the disclosure document, please see the instructions below:
1. Accessing Applications
Navigate to the Applications section from the left-hand menu.
You will see a list of all Vetting applications submitted for your facility.
2. Reviewing the Application
Click "View" next to the application you wish to review. The status of the application should be 'Awaiting Decision'.
Carefully examine the details provided, paying special attention to:

Disclosure Section
π It is the facility's responsibility to review the information provided and make the relevant decision on either completing the application or rejecting the application.
3. Reviewing the Disclosure Document
A disclosure document may be uploaded to an applicant's application, which can be viewed by the facility admin.
π Disclosure files are automatically deleted after the application has been rejected or cancelled. If the application is completed, the files will be retained for 30 days before being deleted.

To view the disclosure document, please follow the steps below:

If it's encrypted, click 'Decrypt & Display
2. Enter the passphrase which was shared with you by Ireland Active and click 'Decrypt'.
π If the disclosure was added with a passphrase, please liaise with Ireland Active. The Smart Safeguarding Team do not have access to the passphrase set by Ireland Active.
3. The document will become available for you to click on, and it will open in a new tab.
