How to check exam results

When you need to find a result, go to the ‘Results’ screen in 'Surpass'. If it doesn’t display instantly you will need to search for the result. This is done by utilising the filters within Surpass.

When an exam has been completed and uploaded to eal.surpass.com it will be possible to view the result in the ‘Results’ screen.

Once an exam result has been released you will be able to download different reports that will provide feedback on the learner's performance on the exam.

Please note: the release of an exam result is not necessarily an instant process as each exam can be subject to moderation by EAL before results can be viewed.

If the result doesn’t show immediately, please first check to make sure the exam has uploaded correctly in the 'Invigilate' screen with a green tick showing in the status column (as shown below), and the 'Completed' filter is set to capture a wide enough date range.

If it has uploaded and the exam is not visible after both of these, the exam may be one that is subject to Moderation and the result will be released within 1 working day of the exam being completed and uploaded to Surpass.

Moderation is a standard process for ensuring that marks or grades are awarded appropriately and consistently.

If the exam has uploaded successfully and the results have not been released within the timeframe stated above, please contact the Exams Team: exams@eal.org.uk for further support.
