A change in your personal life? Let’s talk.

Updated yesterday

We understand that life doesn’t always go as planned. Whether it’s a career change, a health challenge, or a shift in your personal circumstances, these events can sometimes put pressure on your finances. You don’t have to handle it alone.

We are here to listen

If a life change is making you worried about your Yonder account or your ability to manage your balance, please reach out to us via the in-app chat. When you speak with our support team, we promise to:

  • Listen with empathy: Our team is trained to handle sensitive situations with total confidentiality.

  • Respect your privacy: Any "Vulnerability Data" you share with us is handled with extra care under strict GDPR (AVG) guidelines.

Need independent or expert advice?

If you need professional help with budgeting or managing multiple financial obligations, the Netherlands has excellent, free resources:

  • Geldfit: The primary starting point for anyone in the Netherlands with money worries. You can take an anonymous test or call 0800-8115 for free advice tailored to your local municipality.

  • NVVK: The Dutch association for social banking and debt relief. They can connect you with certified budget coaches and debt counselors in your area.

  • Your Municipality (Gemeente): Every Dutch municipality is legally required to offer free Schuldhulpverlening (debt assistance). You can simply contact your local stadskantoor or gemeentehuis to ask for a "Vroegsignalering" (early intervention) meeting.

Mental Health Support

Financial stress and life changes often go hand-in-hand with mental health challenges. If you are feeling overwhelmed, we recommend speaking to your Huisarts (GP). They can refer you to a POH-GGZ (Mental Health Assistant), which is a free service covered by your basic Dutch health insurance.
