We are delighted to announce a range of new functionality, enhancements and datasets have arrived on Your Local Net Zero Hub. Following consultation with local authorities we have prioritised the development of the Hub in line with your needs.
Here’s a summary of the new updates:
‘Our Forecasts & Your Plans’
Our new in-platform page will help you to understand how your Net Zero plans can influence UK Power Networks’ Distribution Future Energy Scenarios and in turn strategic grid reinforcement with a new simple in-tool guide.Metadata
Dataset metadata has been expanded to provide you with 15 Dublin Core aligned metadata fields to answer all your questions about data source, licences, update frequency and more. Accessible by clicking on the ‘i’ icon next to any dataset name on the Map to find out more about the many different dataset sources we have used in the Hub.Solar and Wind Potential Data Enhancements
These datasets - which provide analyses on the potential for ground mount PV and onshore wind potential - have been improved to increase their coverage and make them easier to interpret and analyse. Login and navigate the map and find the updated datasets in the category ‘Renewable Potential’.Notification Emails
Don’t miss an update. You’ll now receive an alert if someone invites you to join their local authority dashboard, if your Data Story receives a response, and when a Scenario or data export finishes processing.Online Training Updates
Online self-service tours for key components are now accessible from the ‘Help’ icon on the relevant pages. Check these out to understand the basics of Scenarios, Data Stories or Stakeholder Engagement Consultations. And of course there are still loads of guidance articles and videos too available for all features in the platform Knowledgebase.Custom Datasets in Projects
You can now add any of your uploaded datasets or any datasets from the Data Explorer to a Project to help refine your site selection and design.
We’ve released a few bug fixes and UI enhancements. In addition, the platform Terms and Conditions are now accessible to view whenever you log in. Simply click on ‘Terms & Conditions’ in the main navigation panel.
