We are delighted to announce a range of new functionality has been released in one of our last updates before the New Year!
Here’s a summary of the latest changes:
Uploading Data just got a big upgrade. Users can now share their uploaded datasets with other users in their local authority instance. You can also rename and add descriptions to uploaded files. Read more in our updated article Transforming and Uploading Datasets.
Data Stories. Looking to share plans with stakeholders in visual story maps?
You can now add your own Projects to a Data Story.
Distribution Future Energy Scenarios can can now be added to a Data Story
Exporting Data. Any exported datasets now come with two files: 1) the dataset and 2) its metadata. The 'metadata' CSV file provides an export of the metadata held about the exported dataset, such as: source, publication date, last update, etc.
Projects can now be exported as well. After running your project assessment you can now export an excel log of addresses, assets and their impact assessments.
Filtering. Users can now type in specific filter values when applying numeric fields.
Dataset Assumptions are now easier to access than ever before. These are accessible from the Knowledgebase and the Dataset Info panel for most of the Renewable Potential datasets. They explain the input data and assumptions used to provide you with assessments of data like cost, carbon, PV potential, etc.
What Low Carbon Technologies exist in my area? You asked and we have some answers: there is a new Use Case dashboard populated with data specific to your area. Just navigate to Resources > Existing Low Carbon Technologies to find estimates of the volumes of certain low carbon technologies in your local authority.
Gas Topology - South. Southern Gas Networks (SGN) gas topology data has been updated with the latest network data version plus the field pipe material - which can provide an indication of a network's 'hydrogen readiness'.
