🔒 Levels of Monitoring (Graded 1–4)
Monitoring standards are classified under EN 50136, with Grades 1–4 depending on the risk level:
Grade 1 – Low risk (domestic, low-value premises). Alarm may call your phone directly, little resilience.
Grade 2 – Low-to-medium risk (small homes, small businesses). More secure signalling than Grade 1.
Grade 3 – Medium-to-high risk (commercial premises, retail, warehouses). Dual-path signalling (e.g. broadband + mobile).
Grade 4 – High risk (banks, jewellers, high-value or critical sites). Maximum resilience, multiple signalling paths, highest security standard.

If your alarm activates, the ARC will notify your nominated keyholders (family, neighbours, staff).
Keyholders attend the property to check and reset the alarm.
Suitable for lower-risk properties or when police response is not required.
With police response monitoring, the ARC will notify both your keyholders and the Police if the alarm is confirmed as genuine.
This requires a Unique Reference Number (URN), issued by the local Police force.
A URN is a secure code linking your property’s alarm to the Police system. Only systems installed and maintained by an NSI/SSAIB accredited company (like Wilson Alarms) are eligible.
Police will only respond to alarms with a valid URN and where the alarm activations are confirmed (to reduce false calls).
