When will my order arrive? "Next working day" — what does that really mean?
I understand why this looks contradictory. Let me explain honestly what's actually happening.
What does our website say?
"Orders placed on weekdays before 4pm will be delivered the next working day."
This is our best-case scenario — the fastest possible timeframe if everything goes smoothly:
Your order quickly reaches the warehouse
Your parcel is prepared and shipped immediately
The courier scans it quickly and ships it out
But, and this is important, this is not a guarantee for every order.
What actually happens in practice?
In reality, delivery times look like this:
Scenario | Delivery Time |
Ideal situation (quick processing + scan) | 1–2 working days |
Standard delivery (typical scenario) | 2–5 working days |
International parcels (outside UK) | 3–7 working days |
Why the variation?
Tracking email — only arrives after your parcel leaves our warehouse, which can take up to 24 hours after you order
Courier scanning — tracking itself can take up to 24 hours to appear after handoff
International shipments — customs, border crossings, multiple carriers — all add time
Example: What happens to your parcel?
Thursday, 2pm — You place your order
Thursday, 2pm–4pm — Your order joins the processing queue
Friday morning — Your parcel is being prepared in the warehouse
Friday, 11am — Your parcel ships (if things go smoothly) — DELIVERY IS POSSIBLE Saturday or Monday (next working day)
Friday, 2pm–6pm — The courier scans it and you'll get your tracking email — but tracking itself may not appear until the next day
Saturday–Monday — Delivery
What does it mean if you haven't received a tracking email?
If 24 hours after placing your order you still don't have a tracking email, that's normal. It doesn't mean something is wrong.
Your tracking email arrives when:
Your parcel is already shipped
The courier has scanned it
Sometimes this takes nearly 24 hours.
How to check where your parcel is
Wait for your tracking email — that contains your tracking link
Check spam/promotions — sometimes it ends up there instead of your main inbox
After 24–48 hours — if you still have nothing, say "talk to a human" and we'll check exactly what's happening
Key points to remember
"Next working day" = best-case scenario, not a guarantee
In reality = 2–5 days (depends on country, carrier, whether a weekend is involved)
Tracking email = only arrives after shipment, can take up to 24 hours
No email after 24 hours = normal, doesn't mean there's a problem
