Why isn't my payment working?

Helps customers troubleshoot a failed payment on the Huel website, covering common causes and self-serve fixes before escalating to the team.

If your Huel payment is not going through, it is usually caused by one of the following. Work through each step before reaching out.

What to Check

Incorrect or expired card details

Double-check your card number, expiry date, and CVV. Ensure your PayPal or Apple Pay account is active and funded.

Billing address mismatch

Your billing address must match exactly what your bank or payment provider has on file

Insufficient funds

Check your bank balance or PayPal balance to confirm you have enough funds to cover your order

Bank security block

Your bank may have blocked the payment if it appears unusual (e.g. higher value or a new recurring charge). Contact your bank directly to confirm and authorise the payment.

Browser or device issue

Clear your cache and cookies, or try an incognito window. Switch to another browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Edge) or a different device.


Paying for a Huel Subscription?

Huel subscriptions can only be paid using:

  • Credit or debit card

  • PayPal

  • Apple Pay (Safari users only)

If a subscription payment fails, the system will automatically retry the following day. No action is needed unless the issue persists.
