I didn't place an order - why was I charged?

Helps customers identify the cause of an unexpected Huel charge, with self-serve steps and clear guidance on escalating potential unauthorised activity.

Written by Jamie Forbes

An unexpected charge on your bank statement is almost always linked to one of the reasons below. Please work through these before reaching out.

Common Reasons for an Unexpected Huel Charge

Reason

What It Means

Automatic subscription renewal

The most common cause. An active Huel subscription may have renewed automatically. Check My Subscriptions in your Huel account to verify.

Multiple Huel accounts

You may have more than one Huel account registered to different email addresses (e.g. personal and work). A subscription on a secondary account may have processed.

Shared account or payment method

Another person with access to your Huel account or your payment method may have placed an order.

Account restrictions

If an account has been flagged for a breach of Huel's Terms & Conditions (e.g. unauthorised reselling), final charges for existing subscriptions may process before the account is closed.

Unauthorised activity

If none of the above apply, the charge may be the result of unauthorised use of your payment details. Huel takes this seriously and will investigate.

What to Do Next

  1. Log in to your Huel account at uk.huel.com/account/login and check My Subscriptions for any active or recently processed orders

  2. Search all your email inboxes โ€” including junk and spam folders โ€” for a Huel order confirmation

  3. If you still cannot identify the charge, say "talk to a human" and our team will investigate the payment further

Think Your Account Has Been Compromised?
