What is CPO?

CPO is the Cost per Order, which is a metric used in e-commerce to measure the cost of acquiring a new order or sale. It is calculated by dividing the total cost of a campaign by the number of orders or sales generated through the campaign.

Where to find it?

When looking at the Sales by campaigns dashboards in Quantic Factory, you can see the Cost per Order.

In the instance below, Media Spending for the campaign was 803 euros, which contributed to 1.17 sales. The Cost per Order is 803/1.17, which is 686.

Here we have a small difference with the displayed value of 688, which can happen due to rounding as decimal values are not displayed in the dashboard for readability purposes but are used for computation.

You can also find the CPO when looking at the Media Activity dashboard. In the example below, the media spending is 3107.62 euros, and the number of first sales (acquisition sales) is 72. Then 3107.62/72 equals a CPO of 41 euros. There is again a small margin of error here (41 instead of 43) due to rounding.
