Sharing an objective with your team

Written by Laura Bennett

Note: This setting must be enabled by an Administrator first.

As a manager, you can choose to make some of your objectives visible to your direct reports. When you add a new objective, you will see the following options at the bottom of the pop-up (in this example we're logged in as Jenny).

The default option selected will make the objective visible to your manager(s), but not your team. If you'd like to make the objective visible to your team (as well as your manager), select X's team.

On your Objectives tab, you can see which objectives are shared with your team and which objectives are just visible to your manager(s):

Once you have added some shared objectives, your team will be able to see them on their 'Objectives' tab and add progress updates:

Note: Progress updates added to shared objectives are visible to anyone who has visibility over the objective. For example, if you share an objective with your team members, these users will see any progress updates that anyone adds to the shared objective.
