Reviewing Guide Approval Request

Once a Guide Approval has been requested, the Approver(s) of that Team have to review the content and Approve or Reject publishing it.

An Email notification will be sent to Team members informing them that the Guide has either been approved or rejected

Approve and Publish

1. Open email from no-reply@swipeguide.com and click "Go to [Guide title]"

2. The Platform CMS (Editor) will open in your browser, and take you directly to the Guide to review

3. Check the Guide's content. The label "Version under approval" is shown on the Guide's cover. If you want to view different versions of this Guide, click on "Version under approval" to switch. Learn about Guide Versioning in our help article.

4. Click "Approve" when there's more Approvers or "Approve & Publish" when you're the last Approver so the content is ready for end users to view

5. Confirm the Workspaces to which this Guide should be visible, and then click "PUBLISH UPDATES". Your Team members will receive an email notification informing them that the guide has been approved and published.

Additional Information

  • If there are multiple Approvers in the Team, the Publish Guide dialogue appears when the last Approver in the Team reviews the Guide, hence the guide will be published only when all approvers have approved the content.

  • If an approval order has been set up for your team, you will not be able to approve the guide until it is your turn.

Reject and Give Feedback

1. Open email from no-reply@swipeguide.com and click "Go to [Guide title]"

2. The Platform CMS (Editor) will open in your browser, and take you directly to the Guide to review.

3. Check this Guide's content

4. Click on "REJECT THIS VERSION"

The Reject this version dialogue opens

5. Enter your feedback to help the Team members to improve the content and re-initiate the Approval Request again.

6. Click "REJECT AND SEND FEEDBACK". Your Team members will receive an email notification including the feedbacks left informing them that the guide needs revisions.

Additional Information

  • This guide will no longer be under Approval. Once the Guide has been revised, the Team members will have to Request Approval again, for it to be reviewed and finally published.

  • The rejections and feedbacks are shown under each Guide's Activity log.
