eSignatures allow users to add a biometric hand signature at the end of an executed Checklist to enhance compliance. After a user submits the checklist, their signature will be available in the analytics. Learn how to view & export checklist data.
💡 Note: eSignature is currently available only on the Web Browser and not the App.
When to use eSignatures
For users without a login.
If you are using a workspace password or have publicly available content, users can access content without a personal SwipeGuide login (no e-mail/password or SSO). The eSignature can confirm their identity when they’ve completed a Checklist.
For added compliance.
A signature is sometimes needed for additional compliance purposes. For example, with eSignatures, a company can track training completion by requiring employees to add their signature to confirm that they have been trained.
💡 Note: The SwipeGuide eSignatures are NOT using a digital certificate from a trusted Certificate Authority (CA). This means that signing a checklist with a SwipeGuide eSignature does not officially confirm the signer’s identity from an official database.
Require an eSignature on a Checklist
Platform Admins, Admins, or Editors can require eSignature on any Checklist within a guide.
Submit a Checklist with eSignature as an End-User
If eSignature is required, viewers will be able to add their signature at the end of a checklist before submitting the results.
