Costs incurred through medical treatment or co-payments for prescribed medications are medical expenses that you can consider for tax purposes.

These include, for example:

  • Hospital stays

  • Spa treatments

  • Prescribed physiotherapy or massages

  • Acupuncture

  • Glasses

  • Dental prosthetics

  • Hearing aids

  • Wheelchair

  • Medications (prescription-only or recommended

    by a doctor, only non-reimbursed costs are deductible)

Requirements:
To deduct the costs, certain conditions must be met, such as exceeding a reasonable deductible based on your income.
