Manual Upload of Scan, Point Cloud, and Orthophoto to SkyView

This section describes how to manually upload a scan, point cloud, and orthophoto to SkyView.

Updated over a week ago

Follow these steps for a manual upload:

  1. Go to Cloud Processing.

  2. Go to the Upload tab that handles manual uploads of rendering, orthophoto, and point cloud.

  3. Here you will find three boxes: Scan, Point Cloud, and Orthophoto.

  4. Scan - If you have a scan in the Cesium 3D-tiles format on your computer, upload the ZIP file in the Scan box.

  5. When you click to upload the rendering, you will have the option to use Z as the vertical axis. By default, this is not selected. In some cases, you might need to select this setting if your file has been manually converted and the Y-axis does not represent up/down.

  6. Point Cloud - If you have a point cloud in the laz, las, or cesium format on your computer, upload the file in the Point Cloud box.

  7. Orthophoto - If you have an orthophoto in the ZIP format containing a TIF and corresponding TFW on your computer, upload the ZIP file in the Orthophoto box.

  8. After the upload, you will be informed via email when you can link the file to a timeline.
