Manual Upload of TIF/TFW to Generate Orthophoto for SkyView

This section describes how to upload a ZIP file with TIF and TFW or alternatively GeoTIF to generate an orthophoto for SkyView.

Updated over a week ago

Follow these steps for a manual upload of TIF and corresponding TFW to generate an orthophoto for SkyView:

  1. Go to Cloud Processing.

If you haven't specified the coordinate system for the project, you need to do this first.

  2. Go to the Uploads tab that handles manual uploads of rendering, orthophoto, and point cloud.

  3. There are three boxes: Scan, Point Cloud, and Orthophoto.

  4. Click on New Upload under Orthophoto.

  5. Select your ZIP file where both the TIF and TFW files are located directly in the root without folders. It is important that the TIF and TFW files have the same name for it to work. Also, ensure that the file names do not contain å, ä, or ö characters. If you do not have a TFW file, a GeoTIF will work just as well.

  6. After the upload, you will be informed via email when you can link the Orthophoto to a timeline.

  7. Then, open your project and go to Timeline.

  8. Click on the green plus sign to create a new timeline. Then click on the calendar icon to select a date.

  9. Under Orthophoto, select your manual upload of the orthophoto. You can also write a description under Comments.

  10. Finally, go to SkyView to see the result.
