This section describes the keyboard shortcuts available to simplify and streamline your work.

When working with Design, you can use keyboard shortcuts to simplify and streamline your work.

The following commands can be used:

Q

Activates the Line tool.

W

Activates the Point tool.

E

Activates the Selection tool.

Ctrl+Z

Undo the last action.

Ctrl+Y

Redo the last action.

Ctrl+C

Copies the current coordinates to the clipboard.

P or hold ALT + left-click

Create a new point.

Shift

Hold to create a perpendicular line.

H

Opens the Set Elevation function when you hover the cursor over a point. If you have selected a number of points, you can change the height or relative height of all points.

T

Activates the Triangulate function for selected points and lines. The function automatically triangulates selected points and lines when pressing T.

O

Creates an offset for selected objects.

G

Opens the Generate Grid function where you can create a grid with points inside a selected line.

L

Opens the Create Points on Line function where you can create new points with a specified line segment length.

I

Activates the Interpolate Point Heights function.

Ctrl

Activates the Selection tool and continues holding the button, then left-click and drag the cursor over the objects to include in the selection. You can also hold Ctrl and click on objects to include in the selection.

Double-click on a line

Selects the entire line.

Ctrl + a

Selects all points, lines, and surfaces in the geometry.

Shift

Hold to deselect objects when the Selection tool is active.

ESC

Cancel a new line segment or cancel an ongoing line segment. Also closes a dialog box. Cancels the Selection tool as well.

Delete

Deletes a point, line segment, break line, or triangle when you hover the cursor over the object.

Enter

Confirms the entered information and closes the dialog box.

Ctrl+S

Saves the geometry and closes the tool.
