During installation, several solutions can be considered to ensure an optimal network connection:
Retrieving the IP Address Remotely
Before connecting the machine via RJ45, an on-site person must enable a mobile hotspot on the machine.
Once connected, SAM can retrieve the machine’s IP address remotely and send it to the client for integration into their network.
Using a Fixed IP Address
The client can provide a fixed IP address.
We configure it directly on the machine before shipment, ensuring immediate connection upon installation. (This can also be done during installation.)
Registering the MAC Address
SAM can send the machine's MAC address to the client before shipment.
The client integrates it into their internal network in advance, allowing an immediate connection upon installation.
Verification Point: Does the client allow TeamViewer?
If this software is not authorized on their network, it may be blocked, requiring an alternative solution for remote access.
Finally, the machine must be able to connect to the STS (Supervision) to communicate with the STM.
The client may need to add our specific IP addresses to their system.
This will require signing a confidentiality agreement in compliance with the new security procedures recently implemented.
