The “Production Orders” option is an advanced feature that allows users to enter specific information (PO) each time they confirm their basket. This option, which can only be enabled by SAM Outillage’s customer service team, must be configured for each container individually.
Benefits of Production Orders
The use of production orders enables precise and detailed traceability of the operations carried out. For example, this makes it possible to track all item issues for a specific production order, such as PO ‘5524ZA’. This feature is particularly useful for businesses wishing to improve their stock management and the traceability of material consumption. By entering a production order each time a basket is picked, businesses can accurately track the movement of items, which is essential for effective stock management and product traceability.
Activating the Option 📞📩
To activate this option, users must submit a request to SAM Outillage’s customer service team. Once activated, this option ensures that every time a user takes an item from the basket, it is accompanied by a production order (PO) entered by the operator.
How it works
When the “Production Orders” option is enabled, all basket picks by users require the entry of a production order. This entry is a free-text field, allowing the operator to specify relevant information for each operation. The operator enters the production order after clicking ‘Pick’ in the STM.
Consumption Reports
The information entered in the production orders is then included in the “detailed consumption” reports, under the “Production Order” column. This enables full and accurate traceability of the operations carried out, thereby facilitating the management and monitoring of consumption.
