π‘ What are "Rights" in the STS?
In the STS, the "Rights" feature allows you to define and manage STM operators' access to machines and items. This functionality ensures that each user has only the necessary permissions for their tasks, thereby enhancing system security and organization.
π§ Why use "Rights"?
β
Access Control: Restrict the use of machines and items to authorized operators only.
β Optimized Management: Assign permissions according to each person's needs and responsibilities.
β Enhanced Security: Reduce the risk of errors or misuse by limiting access.
π Types of Rights Available in the STS
There are six types of rights that regulate access to machines and items:
Product Categories π: Grants access to specific product categories only.
Containers π: Restricts access to specific distributors and machines.
Days ποΈ: Allows or blocks access to machines based on predefined days.
Item Quotas π: Limits access to items with quotas (annual, monthly, weekly, daily). Once the quota is reached, access may be blocked.
Schedules β°: Restricts access to machines during specific time slots.
Time Slots π: Combines days and schedules for more precise restrictions.
π How are rights applied?
Rights are assigned to STM operators according to business needs. There are two options:
Individual Assignment: Customizing rights for each operator.
Mass Assignment: Applying the same rules to multiple operators simultaneously.
The "Rights" tab is accessible via "STM Users," where administrators can configure and adjust access according to internal organization needs.
β οΈ Important!
If an operator has multiple "Item Quotas" rights, and some of them have similar or different quotas, these quotas do not add up. The most permissive quota always takes precedence. This means that if one quota allows a higher quantity, that limit will apply to the concerned operator.
π With this functionality, the STS ensures precise and efficient access management while maintaining the security of machines and items.
