In this tutorial, we'll show you all about the Inbox, and what you can do with it.
The Inbox Center (previously called Requests) is where all communications will land.
These can be:
Personal: your private and personal email (for example, yourname@yourcompany.com)
Requests coming from simple forms, API, or third-party integrations.
Personal inbox
In this section, you'll see all your synced personal email addresses.
All the communications to and from here will be only available to you, and no one in your team will have access to it.
Company inbox
This section is for your team communications, where you receive incoming requests from forms and APIs.
In this section, you'll find the requests and communications coming from inbound sources. These can be:
Samdock's forms: the native form builder you can embed on your website to receive requests and messages
Samdock's custom API: the native solution to connect with other apps to API and receive the requests and communications directly in Samdock
Third-party integrations: from apps like Zapier
All these communications will be visible to everyone which also means that you'll be able to collaborate with your team quickly all from one place.
Message list
In this section, you'll find a short preview of the emails you get from your inboxes.
Processing status
Every message preview has a status. The status is shown with a check that indicates that they're processed.
Unread
An orange dot indicates that the message is unread. In other words, it hasn't been acknowledged, and it's waiting for someone to take action over it.
Read
Gray background indicates that the email has been read. In other words, someone acknowledged the information but didn't take action yet.
Read and processed
Gray background with a blue check indicates that this email has already been read and processed. In other words, someone in your team already took care of it.
Body of the message
In this section, you'll see the body of the messages you have. From here you'll be able to follow the entire thread, reply to and forward emails.
Recipients
Below the subject of the email, you'll find the recipients. These contacts are the ones that'll receive your communication.
Associated contacts
Below the recipients, you'll find the Associated contacts, which are Samdock's contacts related to that email.
All communications that you link here will appear on the Contact detail page, whether they're organizations or persons.
