Troubleshooting steps

Try these in order — most players resolve the issue within the first few steps.

1) Restart Steam and your PC

  • Close Steam completely (including from the system tray).

  • Restart your computer.

  • Launch Steam again and try the game.

2) Verify game files

Corrupted or missing files are a common cause.

  1. Open Steam Library.

  2. Right-click the game → Properties.

  3. Go to Installed FilesVerify integrity of game files.

  4. Relaunch once verification completes.

3) Update graphics drivers

Outdated GPU drivers frequently cause white/blank screens.

  • Update via NVIDIA GeForce Experience, AMD Adrenalin, or Intel Graphics software.

  • Restart your PC after installing updates.

4) Disable Steam Overlay

Overlay conflicts can prevent the game from rendering correctly.

  1. Library → right-click game → Properties.

  2. Under General, uncheck Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game.

  3. Launch the game again.

5) Launch in windowed mode or safe settings

Display configuration issues may cause a white screen on startup.

  • In the game’s Launch Options, try:

    -windowed

    or

    -safe

6) Check display scaling & resolution

  • Set Windows scaling to 100% (temporarily).

  • Ensure your monitor resolution matches the system’s recommended/native setting.

  • If using multiple monitors, try launching with only one active.

7) Disable background apps & overlays

Close software that may hook into the game:

  • Discord overlay

  • GeForce/AMD overlay

  • Screen recorders

  • RGB or performance tools

Then relaunch the game.

8) Run the game as administrator

  • Navigate to the game’s install folder.

  • Right-click the .exe → Run as administrator.

9) Reinstall the game

If the issue persists:

  • Uninstall from Steam.

  • Restart PC.

  • Reinstall and test before adding mods or changing settings.

If the issue continues

Please contact support and include:

  • Game title

  • PC specs (CPU, GPU, RAM)

  • Windows version

  • Steps already tried

  • Screenshot or video of the white screen

This helps the support team identify hardware-specific or game-specific causes faster.
