How to Add, Edit, Remove Answers

Note: this Guide uses the NSOC category as an example, however, the same process applies to all audit categories

1. Answers that are already available in the system can be assigned to any Element you choose. If the Answer you want is not already available, you will need to create it first.

To create an Answer, go to My modules, select NSOC and then Configure NSOC:

Then select

.

On the next screen, you can:

a) Add an Answer by clicking here:

b) Edit an Answer by clicking Edit here:

NB: Answers that are in use are greyed out and cannot be edited.

c) Delete an Answer by ticking the box here, then scrolling down to the bottom of the page and clicking Submit:

NB: Be very careful before deleting an Answer that is in use. If that Answer is the only Answer assigned to a particular Element, you will no longer be able to audit the Element until another Answer is assigned to it.

2. Once you have created an Answer, or if the Answer you want already exists, you can assign it to an Element. To do this, go to the Configure NSOC screen as in 1, and select

.

On the next screen, find the Element you want to add the Answer to, and click on the 1 in the column headed Questions:

On the next screen you will see the Element you have selected, together with the number of Answers that are currently assigned to it:

To add a new Answer, click on the number, then on Add a NSOC Answer here:

This brings up a box where you can both add and remove Answers from the Element:

To add an Answer, find it in the left-hand column, click the + sign, and it will be transferred to the right. To remove an Answer, find it in the right-hand column, click on the – sign, and it will be transferred to the left. (You may need to scroll down in both columns, or alternatively, use the Search box at the top.)
