How to Add, Edit, Remove Actions

Note: this Guide uses the NSOC category as an example, however, the same process applies to all audit categories

1. Actions that are already available in the system can be assigned to any Answer on any Element you choose. If the Action you want is not already available, you will need to create it first.

To create an Action, go to My modules, select NSOC and then Configure NSOC:

Then select

.

On the next screen, you can:

a) Add an Action by clicking here:

NB: When you create an Action, you will be asked to choose which Responsibility Group is assigned to that Action. If you have the same or similar Actions for a different Responsibility Group, it is good practice to include the Responsibility Group’s initial in brackets as part of the Action’s name, so that auditors can tell them apart. You can see an example of this in the image above (Clean (C) and Clean (N)).

b) Edit an Action’s name, description or Responsibility Group by clicking Edit here:

c) Delete an Action by ticking the box here, then scrolling down to the bottom of the page and clicking Submit:

2. Once you have created an Action, or if the Action you want already exists, you can assign it to an Element. To do this, go to the Configure NSOC screen as in 1, and select

.

On the next screen, find the Element you want to add the Action to, and click on the 1 in the column headed Questions:

On the next screen you will see the Element you have selected, together with the number of Answers that are assigned to it:

Click on the number in the Answers column.

On the next screen, you will see how many Actions are currently assigned to each Answer:

To add or remove an Action, click on the number for the Answer you want to add it to or remove it from. This brings up this box:

To add an Action, find it in the left-hand column, click the + sign, and it will be transferred to the right. To remove an Action, find it in the right-hand column, click on the – sign, and it will be transferred to the left. You may need to scroll down in both columns, or alternatively, you can use the Search box at the top.
