Self Service Password Management: How to Reset Your Password

This article provides instructions on how to reset your password if you have forgotten it.

Steps to Reset Your Password:

  1. Open Your Browser:

    • Navigate to Microsoft Edge.

  2. Go to the Portal:

  3. Initiate Password Reset:

    • Click the option Forgot your password? (See below).

  4. Enter User Information:

    • Fill in your domain username and the characters shown. (Domain username is your MCBGROUP username).

  5. Verify Your Identity:

    • On the next screen, the self-service password management portal will ask how you would like to verify your identity:

      • Security Questions

      • Google Authenticator (This option will only appear if you have set it up with the self-service password management portal).

    • If you choose to answer your security questions that you selected when you registered on the self-service password management portal, proceed with answering them. These questions will not change unless you enroll new questions to override the old ones.

  6. Select Account to Reset:

    • Once you answer your questions or verify your identity with the Google Authenticator app, the portal will ask you which account you want to reset (if you have linked the applications you use on the portal). Choose only the account you wish to reset and then proceed.

  7. Complete the Reset:

    • Once done, the system will display one of two messages:

      • Successfully reset your account

      • Password does not meet the system requirements (New passwords must contain a minimum of 8 characters and include a capital letter, lowercase letter, and a number. For AS-400, the system will not accept two identical letters next to each other, or two numbers, or a special character).
