Release notes for January 2025

Updated over 4 months ago

Last month, we brought you a wide range of new assets to model in Projects, and released the Portfolio Projects feature. The assets in Projects now align with those used by SSEN in their Distribution Future Energy Scenarios, and Portfolio Projects allow you to mass deploy assets across a portfolio of buildings that meet your chosen criteria.

Now we’re working hard on a big revamp to a core feature in LENZA - stay tuned! In the meantime, check out a couple of data updates from this month:

New dataset: Ground Mount PV

A new dataset is now available in the Data Explorer > Renewable Potential folder to help identify suitable sites for Ground Mount PV using a multi-vector analysis.

Check out the methodology and assumptions here.

Updated dataset: Secondary Substation Supply Areas

Improved and updated Secondary Substation Supply Area data. This update has reduced the appearance of grey polygons where data was previously unavailable, and ensures more accurate and up-to-date information about substation capacity.

You can access the updated data in the Data Explorer > Utility Networks folder, as well as in Projects.

Other small changes

Minor bug fixes and UI improvements (e.g. buildings are now highlighted on the map when using the ‘Select Building’ tool in Projects, a bug impacting certain geospatial filters in Portfolios has been resolved, and the asset selection menu in Portfolio Projects has been organised by asset type).

As always, you can find ‘how-to’ guides and video guides in the LENZA Knowledgebase, as well as Live Chat support.
