We’ve been busy over the summer working on new features and enhancements. Here’s our roundup of updates to LENZA in July and August:
Headroom Updates | The Bulk Supply Point and Primary substation supply area datasets have been updated to include:
You can find these datasets (including the new data fields) in Map> Data > Utility Networks and Projects |
SP Energy Networks Data | Local authority areas supplied by both SP Energy Networks and Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks can now view headroom data from both utilities at the primary substation level. We’re also working on bringing you visibility of the secondary substation level in the next release! |
Sharing existing plans and forecasts with my DNO | Users can now explicitly choose to share datasets/files with their Distribution Network Operator. This is intended to enable users to share plans, policies and other relevant items with their DNO. You can access this via Map>Upload>Upload and share an existing plan or forecast.
Don’t worry you can still upload private datasets as usual via ‘Upload Data’ which will not be shared. |
Enhancement: Applying recommended settings when using bulk selection | To make it easier to build projects using the Renewable Potential datasets integrated with the platform, users can now choose to 'Apply recommended settings' when building a project with ‘Bulk Selection’. This will deploy an asset to all buildings in the selected area where Overall Suitability is True and will even deploy the asset with the recommended size. |
Adding configs and multiple datasets to a single data story section | Data story creators are now able to add multiple datasets to a single Map entry and set custom configurations for each dataset - such as overlay order, fill colour and stroke. This makes it easier to build up a story about a potential development site or rationale for a plan. |
URL based navigation improvements | You can now directly link other users to pages within the application. This will allow users clicking on links within emails or links shared by others to direct them straight to the relevant page after login.
Previously users were always navigated to the Home page regardless of URL. |
Enhancements and fixes | Some general visual enhancements and bug fixes, including:

As always, you can find ‘how-to’ guides and video guides in the LENZA Knowledgebase, as well as Live Chat support.
