Release 2.7

Updated over 3 months ago

We have a few exciting updates to announce! Check out the details below:

New data: NESTA

We’re excited to bring you a new set of datasets from NESTA:

  • Shared Ground Loop Suitability

  • Heat Network Suitability

  • Air Source Heat Pump Suitability

  • Ground Source Heat Pump Suitability

This data complements Advanced Infrastructure’s renewable potential datasets already in LENZA, allowing you to utilise data from both sources to get a comprehensive view of potential for renewable technologies.

Viewing the NESTA data at LSOA level makes it easy for you to spot where individual heating systems would work best, versus where shared solutions could be the smarter choice. Then, get more granular and use Advanced Infrastructure’s building-level data to identify which properties are suitable for retrofit.

Updated data: Utility Networks data

Scottish & Southern Energy Networks have released updated versions of the following datasets, so you can be confident that you’re working with up-to-date network data in LENZA:

  • BSP Substation Supply Areas

  • GSP Substation Supply Areas

  • Primary Substation Supply Areas

A new version of ‘Secondary Substation Supply Areas’ will also be made available next month, so stay tuned!

Updated data: All open datasets

We’ve just rolled out a major refresh of all open datasets in LENZA. All land datasets, sociodemographic datasets, and more, are now updated on LENZA with the very latest versions.

You can view the metadata for each dataset by clicking the ‘i’ icon next to the dataset name.

Feature enhancement: Uploading data

We’ve updated our ‘User Upload’ feature to improve your experience. Moving forward, when you upload a dataset to LENZA, a warning message will inform you if your file contains any invalid rows.

Your dataset will still upload to LENZA successfully, but any invalid rows of data will not be shown on the map.
