When you own dividend-paying international stocks:
Dividends are automatically collected when issued
Foreign currency dividends are automatically converted and credited to your account in SGD.
The net amount is credited directly to your IG Markets account
Any applicable withholding taxes are deducted at source (e.g., 30% for US stocks unless reduced by tax treaties)
Dividend payments are clearly shown in your transaction history
You don't need to take any action to receive dividends - they're processed automatically and you'll be notified when they're credited to your account.
