Why is my shipping status not updating, and what should I do?
It can be frustrating to see no updates on your shipping status. Here, we explore common reasons for delays, such as carrier processing and system limitations, and outline steps you can take to address this issue.
Reasons for tracking delays
Carrier processing delays
Once an order is handed over to the courier, tracking information may not update immediately. Updates depend on when and where the parcel is scanned within the courier's network.Non-working days
Orders placed over weekends or public holidays are typically processed on the next available working day. This initial delay impacts when your shipment is prepared and handed over to the courier. Updates will resume following the courier's usual processing workflow.
If your order is being shipped with DHL
Please be aware that DHL tracking can take some time to update after your order has been dispatched. DHL may not show further tracking information until the parcel reaches and is scanned at their hub.
This does not necessarily mean that your parcel is still with GetTested or has not been dispatched.
If your order was placed before 14:00 MondayâFriday (excluding public holidays), it will be dispatched from GetTested the same day in accordance with our shipping policy. Orders placed after 14:00 will be dispatched the next working day.
Therefore, if your DHL tracking has not updated immediately after dispatch, please allow some time for the parcel to reach the DHL hub and receive its next scan.
Steps to resolve tracking issues
Monitor tracking regularly
Check the shipping status at regular intervals for new updates. Tracking may not update at every stage of the parcel's journey.Allow for processing times
Please allow some time for the courier to receive, process and scan your parcel. Weekends and public holidays can also affect both processing and delivery times.Contact support if needed
If the tracking status remains unchanged for several days or the parcel has exceeded the estimated delivery period, please contact our customer service team. We can look into the shipment and assist you further.
A lack of tracking updates does not necessarily mean that your parcel has not been dispatched. In some cases, the next tracking event will only appear once the parcel reaches the courier's next processing location.
By understanding these potential causes and taking proactive steps, you can better manage your shipment tracking experience and resolve any concerns promptly.
