No Confirmation That My Sample Is Received

Why haven’t I received confirmation that my test sample was received?

Updated this week

Notifications regarding the receipt of your test sample may be delayed for several reasons. Below, we outline the most common scenarios, along with guidance on what you can do to ensure timely updates regarding your sample’s processing status.

The logistics center also acts as a central hub, playing a critical role in organizing and routing your test sample to the appropriate laboratory for timely analysis.

Typical transit times for receiving a sample at the logistics center are approximately 2-5 days, depending on geographical location and courier services.

Understanding Test Sample Receipt Notifications

Before your test sample is processed, you will typically receive a notification confirming its arrival at our logistics center. Several factors can influence whether or when this confirmation is sent. These include:

Notifications include email, and text messages if you entered your number when signing up, to ensure you are informed promptly. You can also always check the status anytime at my.gettested.io/login

1. Test Registration

For a notification to be sent upon arrival at our logistics center, the test must first be registered by the customer. If the test is not registered:

  • The logistics center cannot link the sample to the appropriate account.

  • Notifications confirming arrival or processing cannot be triggered.

Solution: Ensure you register your test as soon as you receive it. Once registered, notifications can be sent, and your sample can move forward to the analysis stage.

2. Logistics and Transit Delays

If your test sample has been registered but you still haven’t received a confirmation, it may be due to delays in transit or processing at our logistics center. Specifically:

  • Transit Times: Samples shipped via certain postal methods (e.g., Ground Economy Postal) may take longer to arrive, with typical timelines being approximately 2-5 days.

  • Scanning Process: Upon arrival at the logistics center, samples need to be scanned to confirm receipt. Delays in scanning could postpone confirmation notifications.

Additionally, the logistics center ensures proper routing of the sample to the appropriate laboratory after scanning.

Solution: If you used a slower shipping method, allow extra time for transit and processing. Once the sample is scanned, you will receive an update.

Notifications confirming scanning and receipt are sent through both email and text message, increasing the reliability of communication.

You will also receive notifications when the lab completes its analysis, with results sent directly to your preferred contact method (email or text message).

Additional Tips

  • Double-check that your sample was sent to the correct logistics address.

  • Contact customer support if you still haven’t received a confirmation after an extended period.

By ensuring your test is registered and allowing for potential delays in transit or scanning, you can minimize uncertainties regarding your test sample’s status.
