There are two ways to edit your frost dates in the Garden Planner:

Open the Garden Planner then tap on the main menu at the top left.

Tap on Account.

Tap on Menu.

Tap on Location and Frost Dates

Continue with editing your frost dates..

Login to the Garden Planner, then tap on the menu button at the top right. Tap on Your account.

Scroll down and tap on Subscription and Account Settings.

Tap on Location and Frost Dates.

Scroll down to find your frost dates below the map.

If you need to edit your frost dates, click on the Manual Frost Dates tab.

Tap on the dates to change them (we wouldn't recommend doing this by more than 2 weeks at either end). Alternatively you can check the boxes to specify if your area doesn't experience frost or if you need to split the growing season in two to avoid growing cool season crops during the hottest part of the year.

Tap Save Location & Frost Dates.

The Garden Planner determines ideal sowing, planting and harvesting times using average frost dates* from your nearest weather station, taken from weather data covering the last 20-30 years. The most important factor for frost date predictions is actually the number of years data we're using to create the average, as this is more accurate for predictions than advising based on the fluctuations that happen from year to year.

We've found this system to be more accurate than the more general hardiness zone system. However, if you live very far from or at considerably different altitude to your nearest weather station, you may find you need to customize this system.

Australia and South Africa use a different system based on postcode regions, so it's not possible to edit the frost dates in these areas.
