Check the Split Growing Season box. You can also specify if your area doesn't experience frost or if you need to adjust your frost dates (which you may need to do if your garden experiences a different microclimate to that of your nearest weather station).

The Split Season option is normally only required if your summers are too hot to grow cool-season crops during the hottest part of the year.
