Overview
Clients can now choose to enable employees to initiate move requests using the Mobile Employee Experience (MEE).
What are the key benefits?
Employees can request a move whenever they want using the MEE
The Employee Self-Initiated Move option can be added to a new or existing authorization template
The MEE supports multiple move forms (authorization templates) that can be customized
Once a self move is requested by an employee, a new authorization is created as normal that routes to the HR Business User or Mobility to proceed
What are the configuration steps prior to using the feature?
This feature is available if the Mobile Employee Experience is active and the below configuration steps have been taken:
Update security access for users configuring the employee self-initiation in the Mobile Employee Experience
Create a new authorization/edit an existing template and configure the General tab of the authorization template to have <Employee Self-Start> as the first control step in the Authorization Steps section
Configure the Employee Completed Fields tab of the authorization template to determine what fields are shown to the employee on the MEE and use Field Sections control to organize fields if desired
Note: When adding Mailing Address Fields, it will always show last in their section regardless of sequence number.
Repeat steps 2 and 3 if more forms are required
Log into the Mobile Employee Experience as an external employee user to view the changes
What functions are available after configuration?
As an employee user of the Mobile Employee Experience
As an internal Equus Platform user
Employee Self-start URL
The Employee Self-start URL will appear on both the Authorization Settings page (company level) and the Authorization Configuration Template for each template that includes the Employee Self-Start control.
The link will only display if SSO auto-provisioning is configured for Employee Self-Initiated moves. Please contact your Equus representative for assistance in enabling this feature.
Users with a User record created through auto-provisioning for Self-Initiations can have additional User records generated through standard auto-provisioning. Likewise, SSO users with an existing user type in the system (e.g., internal users) will have a separate User record created when they log in to the MEE using this link.
Things to note
This is only available in the Mobile Employee Experience portal and not the legacy employee portal
This feature is shipped out as "off" by default
The Authorization Coordinator for the submitted Authorization is shown by default. This can be optionally hidden from employees using DDMO.
Authorization Templates configured for self-moves cannot be started by internal users. They can only be started by employees using the MEE.
