🚲 How Free Rides Work
Got a free ride waiting for you? Amazing! Here is everything you need to know about how your free ride credits are applied so you can get rolling without any surprises.
🔄 Automatic Application
You don’t need to enter any promo codes at checkout. Your free ride will automatically apply the very next time you rent a bike, whether you choose to Just Ride or use a Pass.
👤 One Per Ride
Free ride credits are designed for single trips. Only one free ride can be used per rental. If you have multiple credits stacked up, the remaining ones will sit safely in your account for your next trips!
💳 For Active Members
If you already have an active membership, don't worry—your free ride won't go to waste. The credit will kick in automatically the moment you use up your standard membership allowance for that period.
📱 Checking your Balance
Want to see how many credits you have left? It’s easy:
Open your app.
Go to the Main Menu
You will see your total number of free rides listed right there!
⚠️ Common Troubleshooting
Why was I charged for a ride if I had a free ride credit? There are usually two common reasons for this:
You exceeded the ride's time limit: Free rides typically cover a standard duration (e.g., 30 minutes). If you keep the bike out longer, you will be charged the standard Just Ride for the extra time.
I just earned a free ride but it's not showing up in my app. What should I do? Don't panic! Sometimes there is a slight sync delay between our server and your app. Try (hard) closing the app completely and reopening it.
