Do I need theft insurance?
While theft insurance is optional, we highly recommend it, especially for overnight rentals or in high-traffic areas. Without it, you are personally liable for the full replacement cost of the bike if it goes missing.
🛡️ 3 Key Rules for Insurance
Strict Timing: You can only add insurance during the booking process. Once you have tapped "Confirm" and started your rental, insurance cannot be added retroactively.
Membership Perk: If you have a membership, theft insurance is already included for all your rides, you don’t need to buy it separately!
The "30-Day Recovery" Window: If a bike goes missing, we search for it for 30 days. If it isn't recovered, the Lost Bike Fee is charged to your account.

⚠️ What is NOT covered?
It is important to note that theft insurance only covers the disappearance of the vehicle. It does not cover:
Damage: Repairs for broken parts or vandalism.
Personal Injury: Harm to yourself or others.
Third-Party Property: Damage to other vehicles or property.
