Lost Bike Fees & Theft Insurance

As a rider, you are responsible for the safety of your bike during the rental period. If a bike goes missing, a Lost Bike Fee is applied after 30 days of it being reported as stolen or lost.

🚩 When is a Lost Bike Fee charged?

A fee is triggered if we cannot recover the bike within 30 days because:

  1. Theft: The bike was stolen during your active rental.

  2. Improper Return: You did not end the rental correctly (e.g., you didn't lock the bike or didn't return it to an official drop-off location).

💡 Key Insurance Details

  • How to Add: Insurance must be selected during the booking process. It cannot be added after a ride has started.

  • Memberships: If you have a local monthly membership, theft insurance is often already included for your rides.

  • Liability Period: You remain liable until the bike is confirmed as "Locked" at a valid hub within the app and your rental correctly ended (with receipt).
