The TCI list is a feature to allow potential residents to be assessed in advance of their admission, or before making a decision of whether to admit them. Potential residents on this list do not affect the home’s dependency figures, but allow individual residents’ dependencies to be assessed in advance. This allows managers to assess the impact on the current dependency and staffing of the home of admitting the potential resident.
Persons reach the TCI list by selecting ‘Save as TCI – YES’ on their first or subsequent assessments. By simply changing this field as NO will result in the resident being immediately admitted, influencing the dependency figures for the home. Note the option to save as a TCI is removed once the resident is admitted.
