Data consumption is a service available upon subscription on Cofinity-X marketplace to all partners registered to Cofinity-X network. By subscribing to the service, you are able to retrieve the legal entity (BPNL), site (BPNS) and address (BPNA) information of the other registered partners. Here you can learn more about the different types of business partners.
In order for Cofinity-X network to fully benefit from the Business Partner Explorer added value, make sure you upload your address data as described in Data provisioning.
Service Subscription
Once you have fully registered, log in into Cofinity-X Portal with your user credentials. On the homepage, select “Service Marketplace” under the option “Marketplace”. Depending on your screen resolution, you may find this option either in the navigation bar at the top of the page or under the user menu in the top right corner.

On the “Service Marketplace” page, search for the BP Explorer by using the search box and click on “Details”, located at the bottom right corner of the service card.
You can find the “Subscribe” button below the service name.
Navigate to the "Service Subscription" page. Then click on “Confirm” to request the subscription to Data consumption or click on “Cancel” to abort the process.
By subscribing to this service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms of use! Your subscription constitutes your acceptance of all applicable terms, policies, and conditions governing the use of this service. Make sure that you take the time to read the terms of use, which you can find under “Relevant Documents” on the service page.
After your subscription, the business partner information (BPNL, BPNA, and BPNS) of your partners is retrieved via the endpoints configured in your Eclipse DataSpace Connector (EDC) when implementing a Catena-X use case.
BP Data Consumption via an EDC
In order to retrieve the Business Partner Explorer Data, you need to have an active Eclipse Dataspace Connector (EDC).
Once you subscribe, we will create an asset for you which you make an a data consumption request and access /v6/members endpoint of the pool. You can explore the API documentation here.
NOTE: The asset creation may take up to 24 hours.

Once you’ve located the asset, you can initiate a negotiation.
After finalizing the contract negotiation, you can proceed with the transfer using the following:
