The core services connect your Catena-X Dataspace to the technical users. The core services will enable your Catena-X Dataspace to manage data and assets with the whole Catena-X Network. A core service and its data depend on the submitted technical user.
For example: To share your Catena-X membership information you need to create a technical user "CX Membership". Afterwards, you need to add the core service "MEMBERSHIP" to your Catena-X Dataspace. Finally, you can provide the resulting core service URL to your partners, or you can reuse the core service URL within Dataspace OS to set up other components.
For more information, see What is a Core Service?
Important Note
For all services you can use one technical user with several permissions, automatically created after subscribing to DOS in the portal, called "Dataspace OS".
Step 1 - Keep your Technical User Credentials ready
To add core services, you will need the credentials for each core service/technical user, such as, Client ID and Client Secret.
Login to your Cofinity-X Portal account.
Navigate to Technical Setup > Technical User Management.
Choose the technical user called "Dataspace OS" and select Details.
The details view lists all necessary data in section Technical User Details. You can copy and paste the credentials into Dataspace OS with Copy.Keep the credentials ready for the next steps.
Step 2: Actions in Dataspace OS
Log in to Dataspace OS and go to the ‘Dataspaces’ tab.
Click ‘Add Dataspace’ and fill in the following fields:
Name: Choose a unique name for your Dataspace.
Type: This will be preselected.
Version: Select the latest version.
BPN: Enter your BPNL (e.g., BPNLxxxxxxx).
Once the Dataspace is created, you can begin adding services.
Step 3: Adding your Services
The main services to add are:
Membership
Semantic Hub
