The core services connect your Catena-X Dataspace to the technical users. The core services will enable your Catena-X Dataspace to manage data and assets with the whole Catena-X Network. A core service and its data depend on the submitted technical user.
For example: To share your Catena-X membership information you need to create a technical user "CX Membership". Afterwards, you need to add the core service "MEMBERSHIP" to your Catena-X Dataspace. Finally, you can provide the resulting core service URL to your partners, or you can reuse the core service URL within Dataspace OS to set up other components.
You have created the necessary technical users in a previous step (Create Technical Users in Portal).
For more information, see What is a Core Service?
This guide will show you how to set up the following Catena-X Core Services:
MEMBERSHIP
SEMANTIC_HUB
EDC_DISCOVERY
You only need to add these core services once for your Catena-X Dataspace.
Use Pre-Production Environment
To follow this guide, use the Dataspace OS pre-production environment.
All provided URLs, such as Endpoints, do only apply for pre-production environments.
For more information see Production and Pre-Production Environments.
Required Technical Users
To add the Catena-X Core Services, make sure you have created all required technical users prior (for more information, see Create Technical Users in Portal).
You will also need the credentials for each technical user, such as Client ID and Client Secret.
