This article assumes that you are already familiar with Cofinity-X Portal and that you have an active account.
For the initial setup, Cofinity-X has pre-configured a technical user named "Dataspace OS" with all the necessary roles. This user is equipped with the following permissions: Semantic Model Management, BPDM Pool Consumer, Dataspace Discovery, Offer Management, and CX Membership Info.
In a later step, these technical user need to be connected to your Catena-X Dataspace core services (For more information see Add Core Services).
What is a Technical User?
Technical User refers to a non-human entity within the Catena-X system that is responsible for executing specific tasks and functions related to data exchange and management.
The technical user "Semantic Model Management" for example, manages the lifecycle and governance of data structures of submodels, ensuring their semantic consistency across the ecosystem.

Find your Technical User "Dataspace OS"
Log in to your Cofinity-X Portal account.
Navigate to Technical Setup > Technical User Management.
Scroll down and find the user called "Dataspace OS".
Open the user details and save Client ID and Secret values for later
NOTE
You may also notice a user named "dim-Dataspace OS" β this user has the Identity Wallet Management role and will be used for EDC creation.
